Goal & claim
Research & application of gentle healing methods
as a complementary cancer therapy for children
Nowadays, cancer in children is a curable disease in many cases – but unfortunately not yet in all. The forms of therapy used today are often very distressing for the children concerned and are associated with serious undesirable long-term consequences because they affect all growing cells, healthy and cancer cells. This is where Cura Placida comes in: The aim is to research and promote targeted healing methods and thereby improve the quality of life and prospects of children suffering from cancer in the long term.

VALUES
& Vision
Always one step ahead
Targeted therapies for young cancer patients provide relief for all those affected
The limitations, side effects and long-term consequences of cancer treatment in children with cytotoxins (chemotherapy), mutilating operations and radiation are an enormous burden for the patients themselves and also for their families. By using specific and individualized therapies, the physical and psychological burden can be reduced and treatment can be undertaken under the best conditions for a gentle cure without serious long-term consequences.
TEAM
Get to know us
For years, the Cura Placida Foundation’s Board of Directors has been made up of the well-coordinated team of
Dr. Yvonne Princess von Croÿ and Dr. Gerhard Brandl.
Dr. Yvonne Princess von Croÿ studied art history and completed her doctorate in Berlin.
Dr. Gerhard Brandl is a doctor with an MBA (INSEAD).
Both are involved in the foundation on a voluntary basis and have school-age children.
This is another reason why they have a great deal of understanding for the challenges and needs of children in need.
The Foundation Board of Directors is responsible for the entire business activities of the foundation, which is legally organized in a similar way to a stock corporation, and reports to the Foundation Board.
